WEEK 2

It’s the second week of the project and the work continues... We made great progress with the mosaics on the amphitheatre stairs, painted the metal rails and nearly completed the BBQ area. Hollybush team finished the scrap clearance and currently work on the orchard at the far end of site.
The art programme has started as well and so far we had fun drawing comics and painting t-shirts.

Opening Party

We had a very successful opening day on August the 3rd. Over 70 volunteers turn up to help us start the work at the Rosebank site and enjoyed some lovely music and food as well.

We hope to see you here the following weeks and we’ll keep you updated on all the activities.

Thank you everyone for all your help on our first day of work and special thanks to Vanessa and the band for the great music and Derek for the lovely food.

Thank you to Vanessa and the Band for the music!

THE PROJECT

Rosebank Millennium Green 2010 is an inspiring project that will bring the diverse local community together; the aims are to improve the Green and attract and recruit new volunteers to help maintain it for future generations.

Transformed from a derelict site in 2000, further development will improve its natural biodiversity and open it up as a place for the whole community to come together and enjoy for years to come.

Volunteers, residents and partner organisations will work together on path improvements, the creation of new growing spaces, an orchard and a community art project that will compliment the site.
Charities, Hyde Park Source (HPS) and BTCV will facilitate the practical improvements to the site.

KEEP AN EYE FOR A DETAILED SCHEDULE VERY SOON!
